Advantage Medical Systems, Inc. is the industry leader in ergonomic products for the operating room. Every aspect of our Advantage brand products works with you, not against you. Our basic design philosophy is that our equipment should conform to you and your work, not vice versa. Net result…less fatigue, increased efficiency and a healthier O.R. environment. Advantage Medical Systems, Inc. is constantly developing new products to make your life in the O.R. easier. Our current products represent the cutting edge of technology for the 21st century. They include:
The Advantage Smart Table: Longer instruments = lower tabletops. A clinical study confirms it. The Advantage Smart Table is the ONLY major general surgery table that accommodates the ideal working heights for traditional open procedures as well as the lower ideal working heights for less-invasive procedures. It features a simple programmable remote control that remembers table positions for various surgeons and procedures, has full body c-arm coverage and much, much more. Advantage Ergonomic Surgeon’s Chair (for the surgeon who sits): A surgeon operates in a forward leaning “work” posture so a backrest on a typical flat surgical stool really doesn’t do anything for him or her because they are not leaning backward. The Ergonomic Surgeon’s Chair’s seat tilts forward thereby restoring the natural curve in the lumbar spine and taking pressure off the lower back. And since the surgeon is in a forward “work” posture we provide a body support in the front of the chair to lean against. The body support can also be provided with elbow rests to provide additional support for the upper body, shoulders, neck and arms. Bull’s Eye Surgical Light Aimer: We’ve all seen it or done it, fidgeting with the overhead surgical lights. Why is this so common? Because a typical surgical light pattern is 8” in diameter. The brightest part of this pattern is the center. It then fades to only 20% of the center’s brightness at the pattern’s edge. To make it even more confusing usually you are using at least two overhead lights. Are you getting enough light exactly where you want it? It’s hard to tell. It’s annoying, it wastes time and can cause eye fatigue. Well it doesn’t need to be done anymore. The Bull’s Eye Surgical Light Aimer replaces the sterile handle of your surgical light (yes it has adapters to fit anyone’s lights). It works like a laser pointer only brighter. It uses sterile disposable handles. Squeeze the Bull’s Eye’s handle and the laser goes on. Line up the laser dots and let go. The laser goes off and your surgical lights are perfectly aimed. |
